Allen "Ted" Theodore Tarpley

Age: 72 Of: Waverly, TN Died: Sunday, January 18, 2015 at NHC Healthcare. Mr. Tarpley worked for the Nashville Banner as a young boy, was former Police Chief in Waverly and New Johnsonville, former Criminal Investigator for the District Attorney’s Office, and Owner of Professional Auto Recovery. He was an avid golfer and member of the Waverly Country Club; he also enjoyed fishing. Visitation: will be held from 10 – 8pm Wednesday, January 21st and from 10am until service time Thursday, January 22nd at the Humphreys County Funeral Home. Funeral Services: for Mr. Tarpley will be conducted at 3pm Thursday, January 22nd in the Humphreys County Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Tim Farris and Buddy Frazier officiating. Interment: will follow in the Richlawn Cemetery.
