Barbara "Sissy" Ann Carr

Barbara Ann (Sissy) passed from this life on March 29, 2024 after a brief battle with cancer. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rupert L. Carr and Lillie Opal Williams Carr and her brother David L Carr. 

She is survived by her sons Norman Owens and his daughter Zoie of White Bluff, Tennessee, and Michael Gilbert of Springhill, Tennessee. Sisters Jo Earhart and her husband Ron of Blaine, Minnesota, Rainey Bailey and her husband Steve of Kingston Springs, Tennessee.  She also has a niece, Amy Mayer and her husband Rich of Conroe, Texas and a nephew, Adrian Forkum of White Bluff, Tennessee. 

Her Chihuahua Penny will be adopted and cared for by Jo.  Sissy graduated from high school in 1966 in Ashdown Arkansas. She loved dancing and listening to country music as well as shopping for clothes, shoes, and unique jewelry. She was knowledgeable about politics and current events and loved discussing this with others. She was never one to miss out on a good time or a get together. She had great stories, and no one could tell a joke like Sissy. 

She is gone from our sight but will be forever in our hearts.

Her wishes were to be cremated.
