Billy proudly served in the United States Army's 2nd Battalion, 44th Artillery. As an E5 Seargent, he played a pivotal role in training personnel for Persian missile operations. Billy Ray's military service embodies loyalty, bravery, and a deep sense of duty—a true testament to his character.
Following his honorable discharge from military service, Billy Ray embarked on a remarkable career spanning 32 years with the CSX Railroad Company.
Apart from his railroad career, he also served as a Dickson County School Bus Driver.
In addition to being a school bus driver Billy Ray's love for golf led him to become a Marshall at Montgomery Bell Golf Course. With his kind demeanor and deep knowledge of the sport, he made every golfer's experience memorable.
Billy had many passions outside of work. He had a genuine love for farming and spent countless hours tending to his cattle with care and diligence. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating. These activities allowed him to connect with nature and find solace in its beauty.
