Cassandra "Cassie" Bonillas

December 5, 1969 — February 8, 2021

Cassandra “Cassie” Nanette Churchill-Bonillas went home to be with Jesus & many of her beloved family members on February 8, 2021 at the age of 51. Cassie was born on December 5, 1969 in Lancaster, California. She immediately radiated joy into the world with her beautiful smile, bright blue eyes, & contagious laughter. She was loved & cherished by her parents Patricia Churchill, Doug Pearson, & Mike Anderson. Cassie was a jack of many trades but spent most of her life in management. She absolutely loved working & always worked to be the best at whatever she did. No matter what job she had, she always excelled & succeeded. Cassie was a natural born leader & inspired many people through her work. In 1988, she met her husband & love of her life Richard Bonillas through mutual friends. From that point forward, they were inseparable. Cassie’s strong-willed personality & charismatic energy instantly made Richard fall in love. He always loved that she was an alpha female & did not take crap from anyone. She was unbelievably strong in so many ways & always fought for what was right. Cassandra & Richard were married for over 32 years and had 5 children - Tara, RJ, Hayleigh, Heather, & Ricky. Cassie was a fiercely dedicated mom to all her children, raising all of them to go on to accomplish great things. Family came first and was above all else to Cassie, a value she instilled in all those around her. She always put others above herself, even strangers, an attribute that made her so special. Cassie had the biggest heart & treated everyone she met like family. The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill. Cassie was a fanatic for 80’s rock, especially Bon Jovi. She loved Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars & danced every time she heard it. She loved getting her nails done & spending girl time with her daughters. She loved watching thunderstorms on her back porch with her coffee & a blanket. She loved taking day trips on days with nice weather & just driving around. She loved antiques & refurbishing old furniture. Of the many things she loved, she loved her family & helping others the most. Cassie found purpose & joy in making a difference in others’ lives & made sure that everyone felt loved. Cassie will be missed & cherished forever. Heaven gained the most beautiful, strong, & compassionate angel there is. She will be watching over all of those she loved each & every day & ensuring her love is still felt, even after her passing. Cassie is preceded in death by son RJ Bonillas, Laura Anderson Giddens, Thomas Arthur Giddens, Lowell Thomas Churchill, Floyd Lee & Alta Pearl Anderson, Ella Wellman, & Beverly Burton. Cassie is survived by her husband Richard, her children Tara, Hayleigh, Heather, & Ricky, her Son-in-Laws Travis & Steven, her parents Patricia, Doug, & Mike, her siblings Laura Lee, Donny, & Billy, her grandchildren Dillian & Emmaleigh, her 10 nieces & nephews, & so many other family members & friends.
