Mr. Charles Edward "Eddie" Bozman, Jr., age 57, of Waverly, TN passed away on November 15, 2024, at his home surrounded by family after a long and hard battle with cancer, leaving behind a legacy etched in kindness, humor, and an unwavering devotion to family. Eddie's journey began on February 25, 1967, in Nashville, TN and was one that exalted the values of hard work and community service. He was a member of the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and sung in their choir.
Eddie was a proud holder of a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, a testament to his relentless pursuit of knowledge and professional excellence. For 24 years, he dedicated his skills and expertise to DuPont/Chemours, where he earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues, who often spoke of his unwavering work ethic and innovative spirit. Yet, his true passion extended far beyond the walls of the workplace.
A family man at heart, Eddie cherished the simple joy of gathering around the table, playing board games with those he loved. It was in those moments of playful banter and strategic competition that his sarcastic humor and generous spirit shone the brightest, creating memories that will forever linger in the hearts of his family.
Eddie lived a life colored by service, too. He was honored with a national award from the St. Vincent de Paul Society for his tireless volunteer work following the devastating Waverly flood, exemplifying his dedication to uplifting those in need. His commitment to bettering his community did not stop there; he also garnered the Volunteer Award of the Year from the Humphreys County Humane Society, reflecting his profound love for all living beings and his desire to make the world a kinder place. Eddie also enjoyed coaching the Waverly High School soccer team and the REC soccer league.
As we mourn the loss of this incredible man, we also celebrate the spirit of generosity that he embodied. Eddie’s legacy — one of kindness, humor, and an unwavering love for family — will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he may have left this life, the impact of his laughter and selflessness will reverberate in the lives he touched.
