Charles Jackson “Jackie” Himes, Sr.                   Age:  69

Of: McEwen, Tennessee, passed away Monday, May 20, 2024, at his home, with his loving family by his side. Jackie was born January 15, 1955, in McEwen, Tennessee, to William C. and Ruby Jeanette McCarson Himes. He was married to Connie Mercer Himes for 51 years. Jackie was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in McEwen, Tennessee. He was the retired Owner/Operator of Quality Concrete. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed tinkering, fixing things, and working on cars. Jackie was a mentor to young men and believed in teaching them. He loved spending precious time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and his multitude of friends.
 

Visitation: will be Thursday, May 23, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until service time, at Humphreys County Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: will be held Thursday, May 23, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Humphreys County Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Worley officiating.

Interment: will follow in Gorman Cemetery in McEwen, Tennessee.

   Johnny Himes, Hunter Himes (Partner: Tyler Vinci), Kaitlyn Carter (Isaac), Kelsey Himes, Evan Thompson, Robby Thompson, and Chase Thompson

   Zaidyn Grey Carter
