Hayes Age: 98 Of: Dickson, TN Died: Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at NHC She was born March 12, 1921, in Vanleer, TN Daughter of Walter Esther Robertson (died 1926) and Ella Bertha (Lewis) Robertson Walker (died 1967). Sister of Hubert Robertson, George Robertson, Opal Walker, Estelle Robertson, Lorene Coleman, John Willis Robertson, and Ophelia Newkirk. Wife of Willard W. Hayes (died 1988); married in Nashville, TN. September 12, 1941. Mother of 9 children: Linda Joann Anderson, Larry Hayes, William W. Hayes, Peggy Lois Hines and Glenn Doyce Hayes (twins), Tony Leon Hayes, Wanda Kathy Odum, Nora Jeanette Prince, and Teresa Gail Allen. Mrs. Hayes is survived by seven of her children, numerous Grand Children, Great Grandchildren, Great Great Grandchildren and Nieces, and Nephews. She is also survived by her youngest sister, 93-year-old Mary Ophelia (Robertson) Newkirk of Nashville, TN. Preceded in death by Parents: Walter Esther Robertson & Ella Bertha (Lewis) Robertson Walker, Husband: Willard W. Hayes, Sons: William & Tony Hayes, Grandson: Chuck Hayes, Infant Granddaughter: Sonya Hayes and six siblings. Visitation: 3-8:00 p.m. Friday, July 12, 2019, and Sat. 9:00 a.m. until time of service at Spann Funeral Home. Funeral Service: For Mrs. Hayes will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 13, 2019, from the chapel of Spann Funeral Home with Bro. Artis Waynick officiating.
