On March 17, 2016 God called Constance Elaine Mayberry home. She was born to the union of William Douglas Mayberry and Mary Louise Walker Mayberry on October 13, 1954 in Waverly, TN. At an early age, Connie confessed her faith in God by serving Salter’s Chapel AME Church. There she served on the Usher Board, Stewarts Board and Kitchen Committee. Connie attended Porch Reed Hill School before transferring to Waverly Elementary. She went on to graduate from Waverly Central High School in 1972. She moved to Kansas City, Missouri until her return to Waverly. Constance, Connie as we called her, loved to cook and make her famous peach cobbler; as well as taking care of people more than anything. She loved to laugh and find the simple joys in people and family. Visitation: will be held from 11:00am until service time Friday, March 25th at Salter’s Chapel AME Church. Funeral Services: for Miss Connie Mayberry will be conducted at 1:00pm Friday, March 25th at Salter’s Chapel AME Church with Pastor Lee Russell Brown officiating. Interment: will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
