Danny Watts, age 60, of Dickson, Tennessee died February 4, 2019 in Auburn, Alabama. Mr. Watts was born in Albequerque, New Mexico August 18, 1958. Visitation with the family will be held 1-4:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Spann Funeral Home.
Danny enjoyed a life long career in the transportation industry and retired from Yellow Freight Trucking in 2018. He was known by his peers to always being helpful and kind to all who had the pleasure of working with him.
When Danny wasn’t working or spending time with his beloved family, he had a tremendous passion for fishing and hunting. He was an avid outdoorsman in every sense of the word. Not only was Danny skilled in these areas, but he was also a master at the art of engines of every kind imaginable. Having the ability to repair anything from lawnmowers, go carts, automobiles, and beyond, brought great joy, not only to himself, but for countless others.
The term, family, was more than just a word to Danny. His boys, Brandon and Garrett, his mother Dolly, his sisters and brother, along with his many nieces and nephews reigned in Danny’s heart. He made as much time as possible to be a part of their lives.
In recent years, the loves of Danny’s life were spending time with his faithful companion, Montie, and being “Grandpa Danny” to his four grandchildren, Ryan, Anna Marie, Harper and Ethan. The pride he felt for them was always obvious at the mere mention of their names. It would guarantee a smile from ear to ear each and every time.
The community of Dixon will sorely miss Danny’s ever smiling face where he never met a stranger. His thoughtfulness of others will be long remembered and cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
