Mrs. Dean Swearns Beecham, age 85

Of Waverly, TN passed away Monday, January 13, 2025, at her home. She was born March 26, 1939, in Waverly, TN, and was the 11th child in a family of twelve, a testament to a life filled with the vibrant dynamics of a large family.

A cherished lifelong member of Waverly, Dean was raised in the Gorman Freewill Baptist Church, where she developed a strong sense of faith and community spirit that would guide her throughout her life. Her unwavering dedication to service and kindness left a lasting impression on many.

Throughout her life, Dean cultivated a rich tapestry of hobbies and interests that reflected her kind and nurturing spirit. She was particularly passionate about quilting, a craft through which she expressed her creativity and provided comfort to family and friends alike. In addition to quilting, Dean enjoyed the rewarding practice of canning and preserving foods. Her kitchen was a haven of delicious aromas and vibrant jars filled with homegrown treasures.

Reading was another of her beloved pastimes, allowing her to transport herself into new worlds and ideas. Whether absorbed in a novel or delving into the pages of a cookbook, she found joy in the written word. One of her favorite shows was "Cooking with David" from QVC, which she watched with great enthusiasm. 

Throughout her years, she took immense pride in spending quality time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, forming bonds that will forever resonate within their hearts. Dean’s love extended beyond her immediate family, as she relished visits with her nieces and nephews, fostering connections that enriched her life and theirs.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00pm Saturday, January 18th and from 12:00pm until service time Sunday, January 19th at Humphreys County Funeral Home.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Beecham will be conducted at 2:00pm Sunday, January 19, 2025, in the Humphreys County Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steven Lee officiating.

Interment will follow in Gorman Cemetery.
