Denny Stuart

Mr. Denny Stuart; Age 94; of McEwen, TN passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, TN. Mr. Stuart was born on May 29, 1926 in Dickson County to the late Walker Stuart and Mary Susan Fields Stuart. He was married to Christine Long Stuart of McEwen. He was a retired IBEW Local #429 electrician with 60 plus years of service. After his retirement he continued to enjoy farming and taking care of his cows. He found great pleasure in reading, camping, traveling, and fixing anything that needed to be fixed. His family was his proudest accomplishment. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend to many. Most importantly, he was a faithful member of McEwen Church of Christ, where he served several years as a deacon. Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, his wife of 71 years, Christine; a brother J.W. Stuart; sisters Elizabeth Street, Lorene Dotson, Sue McClurkan; as well as grandsons Nathan Stuart, and Andrew Patrick. Survivors include sons Dwight Stuart (LeAnne) of McEwen, TN, and Dwayne Stuart (Susan) of Bartlett, TN; daughters Connie Burns (Mike), and Marsha Patrick, both of McEwen, TN, and Tamie Cleghern (Bryon) of Tennessee Ridge, TN; as well as 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. A private family funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 01, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Humphreys County Funeral Home with Bro. Hoby Grace officiating. Burial will follow at the McEwen Cemetery.
