Edith Ann Norris, a cherished resident of Dickson, Tennessee, and a native of Vanleer, TN, USA, passed away on July 22, 2024. Born on March 30, 1941, to Ambrose and Gracie Norris, Edith spent 83 vibrant years touching the lives of those around her, leaving behind a legacy woven with love, laughter, and an unwavering spirit of support. 

Edith, with her infectious humor and loving nature, was the embodiment of warmth. She was a beacon of compassion in the restaurant business, where she spent most of her professional life. Edith's career in food service was more than just a job. It was her platform for connecting with people, for sharing stories, and for bringing smiles to countless faces. She served not just food, but also kindness and an open heart to all who walked through the restaurant doors.

Edith's life was devoted to her beloved daughter, Judy Norris, and her precious grandchildren. Her love for them was profound and boundless, a testament to her nurturing spirit. Edith's joy was in the simple, priceless moments spent with her loved ones, in the shared laughter, and the memories forged over time. Her grandsons' first steps, her granddaughter's first day at school, these moments were her treasures, kept close to her heart.

Edith was a woman who loved deeply and laughed heartily. Her knack for telling jokes made her the life of any gathering. Her laughter was a melody that lingered long after the joke was told, a testament to her belief in the healing power of humor. Edith's life was a beautiful tapestry of such moments, each thread a memory, each color a testament to her vibrant spirit.

Graveside Service: will be held at Averitt Cemetery in Vanleer, TN on Friday, July 26, 2024 at 2:00 PM.
