George Ralph "G.R." Smith

Mr. George Ralph “G.R.” Smith, age: 92 Of: McEwen, TN Died: Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at NHC Healthcare in Dickson, TN. He was born March 13, 1928 in McEwen, TN. Mr. Smith served in the United States Air Force from 1950 to 1954. After his service, G.R. went to work for South Central Bell until he began his employment with TVA. He worked as a Foreman at TVA for 30+ years until his retirement in 1988. G.R. was a 50+ year member of the McEwen Masonic Lodge #525 and attended Christ Community Church in McEwen. He loved growing gardens, fishing and playing his harmonica. He played so well; many began to call him the “harmonica man”. Graveside Services for close family members only will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 11, 2020 at Mt. Zion Cemetery with Bro. David Marcus officiating. Interment will follow with Military Honors. *The family asks that those who will be attending, please wear a mask and practice social distancing.* Survivors: Son: Dennis R.
