George Earlon Sanford, age 92

 Of Charlotte, TN, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2024, at Hillcrest Healthcare Center Nursing Home in Ashland City, TN.

 Mr. George was born on July 18, 1932, to the late Eston and Lucille Sanford in Nashville, TN. A dedicated retired truck driver, George poured his heart into his work, embarking on countless journeys across the roads of America. He took great pride in the freedom his career afforded him, always returning home with stories and memories that would warm the hearts of those he loved. Beyond his professional life, George's spirit of service shone brightly during his time in the Navy, where he served his country with honor.

 George was a man of deep faith, being an active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, which provided him with strength and solace throughout his life. His faith extended into his daily activities; he found immense pleasure in walking with a group of retirees, forging friendships and creating bonds built on shared experiences and mutual respect. In the quiet moments, George was often found watching the news, staying informed about the world around him. 

 Visitation: will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Spann Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

 Funeral Service: will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at 11:00 in the Chapel of Spann Funeral Home.

 Interment: will follow at Triune Cemetery
