With hearts heavy yet brimming with cherished memories, we mourn the loss of Howard B. Lewis, III, affectionately known to us as B.J. Born in Dickson, TN, USA, on February 9, 1981, B.J.'s laughter and charisma were remarkable from a young age. His passing on June 13, 2024, leaves a void in our lives that can never be filled, but his legacy of love, humor, and craftsmanship will be forever etched in our hearts.
B.J. was a man of many talents. His hands, skilled at construction, could breathe life into the most mundane materials. His eyes, with a keen sense of detail, could see potential where others saw none. His work in construction was not merely a job, but a testament to his talent, creativity, and dedication. He was a true craftsman, a jack of all trades, who could lend his hand to any task with precision and excellence.
B.J.'s love of life was enchantingly infectious. He had a funny, dark sense of humor that could lighten even the gloomiest moments, and his laughter was a melody we all loved to hear. His passion for music was undeniable, with a fondness for heavy metal that resonated with his vibrant spirit. He also found joy and inspiration in the worlds of Star Wars, Marvel, DC, and Harry Potter. His love for these stories was not just about the thrilling adventures, but also about the underlying themes of hope, courage, and resilience.
His love for his family was profound. He adored his nieces and nephews and would cherish all the moments he spent with them. His love for canoeing was another facet of his adventurous spirit, often leading to memorable family outings and exciting stories. He was also remarkably good with cars, a skill that often came to the rescue in unexpected breakdowns and routine maintenance.
We invite you to share your precious memories of B.J. on his memorial page. Your stories, photos, and tributes will help us remember, celebrate, and honor the extraordinary life B.J. led. Let us keep his spirit alive in our hearts, in our laughter, and in the stories we tell.
