J. D. Painter

James Dotson “J.D.” Painter   Age: 81

Of:  McEwen, Tennessee        Died: Saturday, March 25, 2023 at TriStar Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, Tennessee. Mr. Painter was born May 16, 1941, in Winchester, Tennessee, to Auburn McCord Painter and Hazel Farris Painter. He was married to Kathryn Jean Davis Painter. He was a retired Machinist for Tennessee Valley Authority in Cumberland City, TN. J. D. served for 30+ years on the Humphreys County School Board and was an active leader for over 30 years with Dixie Youth Softball. He loved farming and mowing his yard, fishing, and watching birds from his rocking chair. He especially loved spending time with his precious family and “frying chickens” for them.

Visitation:  will be Wednesday, March 29, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., and Thursday, March 30, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., at the Pine Hill Church of the Nazarene, 5175 White Oak Road, McEwen, TN.

Funeral Services: will be held Thursday, March 30, 2023, at 1:00 p.m., at the Pine Hill Church of the Nazarene. Associate Pastor Della Rye and Pastor J. T. Blue will be officiating the service.

Interment: will follow in the Edwards Cemetery in McEwen, TN.
