J. Murphy Copeland

Mr. J. Murphy Copeland, age 75, of Waverly, TN passed away Friday, April 19, 2019 at Waverly Healthcare & Rehab Center. He was born July 6, 1943 in Waverly, TN to Dorothy Stricklin Copeland and William Murphey Copeland. Murphy proudly served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force as a crew member of the B-58 Hustler Bomber out of Peru, Indiana. He later retired as a Signal Maintenance for Union Pacific Railroad. Returning to the Waverly area, Murphy was a member of the Elysian Grove Church of Christ. He enjoyed deer and turkey hunting and river fishing. Visitation: will be held from 12:00 noon until service time Monday, April 22nd at Humphreys County Funeral Home. Funeral Services: for Mr. Copeland will be conducted at 6:30pm Monday, April 22, 2019 in the Humphreys County Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Larry Baker officiating.
