Date: August 6, 2012 Name: James Ray “Buck” Buchanan Age: 89 Of: Morley, MI Died: Sunday, August 5, 2012 at Mecosta County Medical Center. “Buck” as he was generally known was born August 23, 1923 in Dickson County, TN. He finished high school there and served in the navy in WWII. After service he received a Civil Engineering Degree from Georgia Tech. He was employed by T. V. A., Dupont, Buchanan and Klein and Principally by Barnes Construction Co. as an Engineer and Construction Superintendent. He was a member of the American Legion Post 554, Morley, MI. and the Elks Lodge 552 Sault Ste. Marie, MI. Per Buck’s request, cremation has taken place and no ceremonies are planned. Survivors: 1 Stepson: Tony Linn of Big Rapids, MI 1 Brother: Hunter Buchanan of Dickson, TN. 7 Nieces He was preceded in death by his wife: Maye Frances Buchanan 3 Brothers & 2 Sister.
