James Richard Atkins

Mr. James Richard Atkins, age: 84 Of: New Johnsonville, TN Died: Friday, May 20, 2022 at his home. He was born November 9, 1937 in Waverly, TN. Mr. Atkins was a member of the Waverly United Methodist Church and the Caldwell Masonic Lodge in New Johnsonville. He worked as a Truck Driver for 30+ years and later owned the Western Auto Store in Camden for 7 years with his wife, Renée. Mr. Atkins was a huge UT Fan and enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00pm Sunday, May 22nd with a Masonic Service to follow at 7:00pm and from 10:00am until service time Monday, May 23rd at Humphreys County Funeral Home. Funeral Services for Mr. Atkins will be conducted at 11:00am Monday, May 23, 2022 in the Humphreys County Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joe Shannon officiating. Interment will follow in the United Methodist Cemetery in New Johnsonville.
