James (Jimmy) Randall Slater was just 64 years old when he passed away on Wednesday July 26th 2023. He was born on January 12, 1959 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Darwin R. and Betty J. Slater. Jimmy spent his childhood growing up in Kalamazoo and Alamo, Michigan. He also lived in Otsego and Allegan throughout adulthood and finally settled in Waverly, Tennessee where he retired.

He had a passion for motorcycles, trucks and cars, showed a truck at car shows and even was featured in a truck magazine with his old Dodge. He loved the freedom of the open road and often motorcycled with friends and his brother Dar.
Jimmy is survived by his wife BJ and son Jesse. His Mom Betty Slater, younger brother Darwin & Lisa Slater, baby sister Cindy & Eric Belden and several nephews, relatives and close friends. He was preceded in death by his Dad Darwin Randall Slater and several close Aunts and Uncles.
