Mrs. Jean Delia Mays Grundy, age 93

Of Dickson, TN passed away Friday, March 29, 2024, at Dickson Health & Rehab Center in Dickson, TN. She was born February 23, 1931, in Waverly, TN. Some people say she was mean, but if she liked you, she would help you. If not, at times, you couldn’t get anything. Lol. Jean was full of laughter. She kept everyone up to date on the town’s business. Her favorite hobby was dancing and walking. She touched a lot of souls and leaves those people to cherish her memories. 

Visitation will be held from 11:00am until service time Saturday, April 6^th at Humphreys County Funeral Home. 

Funeral Services for Mrs. Grundy will be conducted at 1:00pm Saturday, April 6, 2024, in the Humphreys County Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Roderick Davison officiating.  

Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Jean is survived by her daughters, Carrie Grundy of Waverly, TN, Sandra Grundy of Waverly, TN and Dreama Grundy of Clarksville, TN; sons, Frank Grundy of Dickson, TN and David Grundy of Waverly, TN; brothers, Billy Joe Mays (Jeanette) of Waverly, TN and St. John Mays of Waverly, TN; special friends, Belinda Adams Ross and Raymond Huddleston; grandchildren, Anthony, Eric, Jospeh, Rico, Jashika, Marvin, Erica, Kennitha, Adrienne and Sandra; 19 great grandchildren; and 4 great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucas Mays and Delia Shields Mays; sons, Charles Grundy and George Grundy; daughters, Linda Grundy and Delores Mays; brothers, John L. Mays, James Wallace Mays and Richard Edward Mays; sisters, Myrtle Thompson, Hazel Wells and Jennie L. Phillips; grandchildren, Bemis, Peyton and Deidra; and a host of nieces and nephews.
