Jean Catherine Anderson Young

Jean Catherine Anderson Young (Nana), age 93, of Waverly passed away peacefully at her home on October 18,2023. She was born November 13, 1929, in Waverly, Tennessee. She worked for Southern Bell and E.I. DuPont. Jean was a member of the Waverly United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, and especially spending time with her family and grandchildren. She had a kind heart, quick wit and was always full of laughter. She was an excellent cook and loved fried catfish. She was a loving wife, sweetest mother, and grandmother. She was married to the late John W. (Johnny) Young, and they raised three beautiful daughters. She was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed.

She will be in our hearts forever.

A private graveside service will be held to honor her life.
