Jerry Robert Ligon

Mr. Jerry Robert Ligon, age: 85 Of: Waverly, TN Died: Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Humphreys County Nursing Home following an extended illness. He was born June 11, 1935 in Dickson, TN. Mr. Ligon graduated from McEwen High School and enlisted into the Army National Guard. He worked as an Operator at TVA for 30 years before his retirement. Mr. Ligon was a member and Branch President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He loved being outdoors, spending time with his family and traveling. Before he became ill, he traveled to 48 out of 50 states with his family by car. He did not make it to Alaska or Hawaii because he was unable to drive there. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00pm Thursday, September 17th and from 9:00am until service time Friday, September 18th at Humphreys County Funeral Home. Funeral Services: for Mr. Ligon will be conducted at 11:00am Friday, September 18, 2020 in the Humphreys County Funeral Home Chapel with Rance Weston officiating. Interment: will follow in Wade Knight Cemetery.
