Mr. Jesse Harrison Stephenson, Jr., age 85 Of: Waverly, TN Died: Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Alvin C. York VA Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN. He was born June 3, 1935 in McEwen, TN. Mr. Stephenson retired from the United States Air Force in April 1981. During his enlistment he served 2 tours in Vietnam. After his retirement, Jesse and his family moved back to Humphreys County where he served a 4 year term as County Executive. Mr. Stephenson also served as pastor for 33 years at Plant Church of Christ. Visitation will be held from 8:30 – 9:30am Thursday, April 22nd at Humphreys County Funeral Home. Graveside Services for Mr. Stephenson will be conducted at 10:00am Thursday, April 22, 2021 in the J. Warren Cemetery with his son, Jeffrey Stephenson officiating. Interment will follow with Military Honors.
