Of Waverly, TN passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2024. He was born March 23, 1965, in Dickson, TN. 

Joe was a member of the Waverly Cumberland Presbyterian Church for the past three years. He devoted his time and skills to serve as the church's maintenance man, ensuring that the church remained a welcoming place for worship and community gatherings.

Joe’s generous spirit and compassionate nature defined him; he possessed an innate ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Whether through small acts of kindness or significant contributions to those in need, Joe's commitment to helping others was not only admirable but a testament to his character.

Joe had a profound enthusiasm for cars, particularly classic models that spoke to his appreciation for craftsmanship and history. His interest in buying and selling cars was not just a hobby but a true passion that he eagerly shared with others. Beyond his automotive endeavors, Joe found immense joy in the great outdoors. He cherished moments spent fishing, camping, and gathering around bonfires, particularly relishing these experiences with his two beloved sons, Chase and Kinley. The bonds he nurtured during these activities were a testament to his devotion as a father, creating lasting memories that will be treasured by his sons.

Joe was a man of profound connections, cherishing the time he spent with his beloved mother, Stella. Their bond was a source of strength and comfort, filled with laughter and cherished moments. Joe also shared a special relationship with his secret girlfriend, Miriam. Their affection for one another was a testament to the love that thrives in the margins of everyday life. Joe’s love also extended to his pets, Dro and Reggie, who brought him endless joy and companionship.

Visitation will be held from 11:00am until service time Saturday, October 26th at the Waverly Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Memorial Services for Joe Cannon will be conducted at 1:00pm Saturday, October 26, 2024, at the Waverly Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
