Age: 76 Of: McEwen, TN Died: Thursday, July 25, 2013 at St. Thomas Hospital. Mr. McCaslin was an Army Veteran and served in the Presidential Honor Guard. During his service he marched in President Kennedy’s Augural Parade and was on guard at the Augural Ball, served as a Caisson at Arlington National Cemetery and was chosen to wear Teddy Roosevelt’s “Rough Rider” uniform on the Today Show. Mr. McCaslin had a love for God, his family and his country. He was a member of the Victory Free Will Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. He was also an avid golfer and gardener. Visitation: will be held from 3 – 8pm Saturday, July 27 and from 11am until service time Sunday, July 28 at the Humphreys County Funeral Home in Waverly. Funeral Services: for Mr. McCaslin will be conducted at 2pm Sunday, July 28 in the Humphreys County Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Roy E. Helms officiating. Interment: will follow in the Gorman Cemetery.
