Mr. Kenneth Dale Ballard, age 81 Of New Johnsonville, TN passed away Sunday, December 8, 2024, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He was born on August 27, 1943, in Mangum, OK to Joe and Annie Ballard.
Kenneth's journey began in his early childhood when his family moved to Oregon when he was just two years old. It was in this beautiful state that he spent his formative years, cultivating bonds that would last a lifetime. In Oregon, he built a life filled with cherished memories alongside his loving wife of 46 years, Diana, and their family. In what could be considered a bold new chapter, Kenneth and Diana sought new adventures and moved to New Johnsonville, TN, just two years ago. This transition not only speaks to Kenneth's spirited nature but also to his unwavering commitment to embrace change and foster connections wherever he went.
Kenneth's contributions to country gospel music were marked by his heartfelt lyrics and melodies that resonated with many. His passion for songwriting became a defining aspect of his life, as he poured his soul into every note, touching the hearts of countless listeners. Those who had the pleasure of hearing him perform appreciated not only his talent but the genuine devotion he brought to his music. He credited his talent as a gift from the Lord. Many songs and lyrics were written as a testimony to the work of Jesus in his life.
Beyond his musical legacy, Kenneth was known for his strong work ethic cultivated during his years as a mill worker. He approached his job with the same fervor and dedication that characterized his music, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues.
A devoted member of Life Church in New Johnsonville, Kenneth was known for his soulful singing. He also found joy in working with various youth ministries and youth singing groups. His passion for nurturing the next generation was a testament to his character, displaying the love and care he held for his community. Kenneth believed in the power of prayer, making it the foundation of his life and a guiding light for those around him.
Kenneth's proudest accomplishments were rooted in his unwavering devotion to his family and his steadfast faith. He dedicated his life to supporting and uplifting those he loved, creating an enduring bond that will be remembered fondly.
Visitation will be held from 12:00pm until service time Sunday, December 15th at Humphreys County Funeral Home.
Funeral Services for Mr. Ballard will be conducted at 1:30pm in the Humphreys County Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ron Thomas officiating.
Interment will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery.
