Mr. Lemuel Eugene McCarson, age: 79 Of: Gorman, TN Died: Sunday, July 29, 2018 at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, TN. He was born May 5, 1939 in Humphreys County, TN. Mr. Lemuel was a member of the Waverly First Freewill Baptist Church and retired from Vulcan Materials after 32 years. He loved the outdoors, baseball, football and talking to people who he played with or coached in baseball or softball. He was a member of the Gorman Cemetery Committee for the past 14 years and was dedicated to preserving the past. Mr. McCarson was known by his family and friends as the “Mayor of Gorman.” Visitation: will be held from 3:00 – 8:00pm Tuesday, July 31st and from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday, August 1st at Humphreys County Funeral Home. Funeral Services: for Mr. McCarson will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2018 from the chapel of Humphreys County Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Kennedy officiating. Interment: will follow in the Gorman Cemetery.
