Mr. Lester Ray Collier, age 69

Of McEwen, TN passed away Monday, June 17, 2024, at Three Rivers Hospital. He was born December 19, 1954, in Waverly, TN. 

Lester was a beloved member of the Catholic fraternal organization, the Knights of Columbus, where he dedicated his time and energy to serving others in his community. His professional journey was marked by his tenure as an operator at DuPont, where he devoted almost 40 years of his life before retiring. His commitment and passion for his work left a lasting impact on all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

One of Lester’s favorite pastimes was working in his yard. Whether it was mowing the lawn or simply enjoying the sunshine, he found great joy in being outdoors and taking care of his home. He was a devoted John Wayne fan, finding joy in the iconic Hollywood star's movies.

Throughout his life, Lester found immense joy in spending time with his family, particularly his grandchildren. His face would light up with a smile whenever he was surrounded by the laughter and love of his family members.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 8:00pm Wednesday, June 19th at Humphreys County Funeral Home.

A Rosary Service will be conducted at 9:00am Thursday, June 20th at St. Patrick Catholic Church. 

A Funeral Mass for Mr. Collier will be conducted at 10:00am Thursday, June 20, 2024, at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Kevin Dowling officiating. 

Interment will follow in Larkins Cemetery in McEwen.
