Lydia Jane Thornsbury

Name: Lydia Jane Oaks Thornsbury       Age: 74

Of: Charlotte, Tennessee, formerly of West Bountiful, Utah and Hi Hat, Kentucky   Passed Away: Sunday, August 20, 2023, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.  She was born January 29, 1949, in Floyd County, Kentucky. She was a graduate of Wheelwright High School, Class of 1967. She was a homemaker and was devoted to her family. She was a former employee with Eastern Kentucky Mack, Wheelwright IGA and Bailey, Hamby and Thornsbury Mining Company. She loved flowers and gardening, adored animals, and loved taking care of her family. She was a talented seamstress and made dress clothes for all of her grandchildren that are still in existence today that her great grandchildren are wearing.  She had countless cousins, nieces and nephews spread across the country and loved each and every one of them. In lieu of flowers to the family, donations can be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children in her name. This is a cause that was very dear to her heart. She had recently relocated in April to Charlotte to live with her son and his family in the country. 

Mrs. Thornsbury’s wishes were to be cremated and at her request no funeral service is planned. The family is considering a Celebration of Life at a later date.
