Mae S. Maddux

Mae S. Maddux Age: 101 Of: Nashville, TN. Died: March 5, 2019 at NHC in Dickson, TN. Mrs. Maddux was born March 24, 1917 in Kentucky. In World War II she worked in a Defense Factory assembling cockpits for P-61 Black Widow Bombers. She opened the first Health Food Store in Middle Tennessee in 1970 (Sunshine Nutrition Center) and the first Tanning Beds in Murfreesboro, TN. Mrs. Maddux taught 3rd grade at Mitchell Neilson Elementary in Murfreesboro and retired in 1967. At age 77 she was an ovarian cancer survivor. Mrs. Maddux was a member of the Harpeth Hills Church of Christ. Mrs. Maddux’s wishes were to be cremated. Memorial Services: For Mrs. Maddux will be 10-12:00 March 16, 2019 at Harpeth Hills Church of Christ. Survivors Include: 1 Son: James Maddux of California 1 Son-in-Law: Joseph W.
