Mrs. Margaret Ann “Peggy” Scott, age 87

Of Waverly, TN passed away Sunday, June 16, 2024, at her home. She was born March 10, 1937, in Waverly, TN. 

Peggy worked in the Waverly Elementary School cafeteria, where her smile and warm-hearted nature brightened the days of countless students. Her role as the "Ice Cream Lady" brought joy to many young children.

Peggy was a former member of the Eastern Star, where she contributed time and efforts to make a positive impact. She had a passion for sewing and quilting, creating beautiful pieces that will be cherished for generations to come. Her green thumb was evident in her love for tending her flowers, bringing color and joy to the world around her.

One of her favorite pastimes was visiting the Mennonites, where she found vegetables for canning. Peggy enjoyed canning, preserving the bounties of each season with care and skill. In addition to her hobbies, she found solace in the pages of books, immersing herself in stories that transported her to different worlds. 

Above all, Peggy’s favorite thing to do was spending time with her family. She spent every moment with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and created countless memories that will be treasured forever.

Mrs. Scott’s wishes were to be cremated.
