Visitation: will be Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. at the Spann Funeral Home and 11 – 1 on Wednesday at the Dickson First Baptist Church. Mrs. Field was a member of the Dickson First Baptist Church and devote Christian. She was married for 44 years to the long time County Executive Judge William D. Field. She worked 40 years with the State of Tennessee Department of Human Services, Charter member of the Pilot Club, and the Business and Professional Women’s Club. She served as District Director Business and Professional Women and served for 10 years on the State of Tennessee Massage Therapy Board. In 1985 she was the Department of Human Services County Director of the Year. Marilyn was the first lady to serve on the Dickson County Chamber of Commerce Board and she was instrumental in establishing United Way in Dickson County, Starting the Dickson Help Center, and the Mental Health Center in Dickson County. She was also a proud member of the Red Hat Society. Funeral Service: for Marilyn Field will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday June 8, 2016 at the Dickson First Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Miller, Pastor Todd Vermelya, and Rev. Ron Green officiating. Interment: Union Cemetery Survivors include: 2 Sons: William Douglas Field, Jr. (Paula) of Owensboro, KY Steve Field (Debby) of Dickson, TN. 2 Grandsons: Matthew Field (Jessie) of Lexington, KY Nathan Field of Lexington, KY 2 Great Granddaughters: Ella Rue Field of Lexington, KY Elizabeth Joyce Field of Lexington, KY 2 Step Grandsons: Douglas Doss (Kathleen) of Dickson, TN.
