Mary Agnes Williams Proctor

Mary Agnes Williams Proctor, age 89, of Cumberland Furnace, TN, went to be with the Lord Friday, October 25, 2024, while living at the Harmony in Brentwood. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She graduated from Charlotte High School and retired from Jostens Yearbook, in Clarksville, TN.

Mary was born in Cumberland Furnace, TN and enjoyed living in the country her entire life until her last few months. She lived a simple life, surrounded by family and friends. She was loved by all who knew her and stayed close with work friends and neighbors. 

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Robert Proctor (Rob), son, Charles Robert Proctor, Jr. parents, Benjamin Dudley Williams, and Inez Williams Hagewood; brothers, R.W., Chester and Norman Williams, and sister Beatrice Garton. She is survived by her children, son Alan (Maureen) Proctor, Nashville, daughter Sheila (Phil) Davidson, Dickson, grandchildren Houston Proctor and Ashton Proctor Simmons (Matt) and Charlie Davidson, along with her sister Jewel Arnold of Dickson and loving nieces and nephews. 

She will be greatly missed. To honor her life, donations can be made in her memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. 

A graveside celebration of life is planned for Friday morning 10:00 AM, November 29 at Union Cemetery where both Rob and Mary will be remembered and laid to rest.
