Matthew Dale “Matt” Forrest Age: 37

Of Dickson, TN passed away Sunday, February 16, 2025, at his home. He was born on December 11, 1987, in Nashville, TN to Roger and Saundra Forrest. 

 From a young age, Matt developed a love for riding motorcycles, loving the freedom of the ride. He was an adventurous soul and loved to travel. He greatly enjoyed being outdoors and spent a lot of time camping, hiking, or floating the nearest river with family and friends. Amongst his hobbies were collecting matchbox cars, dedicating countless hours to building an impressive collection that displayed not only his love for miniature models but his eye for detail and uniqueness.

Matt’s creativity knew no bounds, as he embraced multiple artistic outlets including drawing, painting and crafting mini derby matchbox cars. He also got a kick out of driving in several of the local demolition derbies. 

 A true music lover, Matt was deeply connected to music not only through listening and attending concerts, but also through playing the bass guitar and drums. Music served as a soundtrack to his life, fueling his soul and providing a shared experience among family and friends that will forever be remembered.

 Matt will be deeply missed by all who loved him.

 Visitation will be held from 2:00pm until service time Saturday, February 22nd at Spann Funeral Home. 

 Memorial Services for Matt Forrest will be conducted at 4:00pm Saturday, February 22, 2025, in the Spann Funeral Home Chapel.
