Michael Wayne Bassett

Mr. Michael Wayne Bassett, age 57 Of Allentown, PA passed away Thursday, August 15, 2024, in Mayfield, KY. He was born March 18, 1967, in Troy, PA to Allen Bassett and Burdeen Whiting Bassett.

Michael spent the majority of his life working with his hands in the construction field, something he always enjoyed doing. He was well known for cracking jokes, sharing his childhood stories of getting into mischief, off-key singing his favorite songs from the 70’s and 80’s, and sharing all his food with his pup, Deeogee. Michael’s favorite moments in life were those spent in the kitchen, cooking for his friends and family, as long as it involved lots of butter!

Michael will be remembered as a loving son, father, brother, and friend. In keeping with his wishes, Michael’s cremains will be preserved through a living memorial kept by his children. 

The family would like to thank those who were able to make it out to say their final goodbyes and pay their respects.
