Nancy Meadow Royster

Nancy Meadow Royster, age 85, passed from this life to eternal life with Jesus on August 7, 2019. She had been a resident of Madison, Alabama for the past two years. Nancy grew up in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. She was a graduate of Waverly Central High School in 1951. She married Hilton Royster of Waverly in 1955 and followed him into the ministry of the Gospel for 57 years, serving in Mississippi, Tennessee and Kentucky. She enjoyed teaching young people at her church, gardening, sewing and quilting, and countless activities with her grandchildren. She was the mother of three sons, the grandmother of 9, and the great-grandmother of 6. Nancy was preceded in death by her mother and father, Mildred White Meadow and Thomas Richard Meadow of Hurricane Mills and a sister Joy Meadow House of Fulton, Mississippi. She is survived by a brother, Dick (Sue) Meadow of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and two sisters, Margaret Meadow Nealy of Nashville and Jimmy Anne Meadow Roberts of Athens, Alabama. She is also survived by her three sons and their spouses, Tim and Susan Royster of Knoxville, Scott and Melissa Royster of Madison, Alabama, and Carl and Carrie Royster of Nashville. Her grandchildren, Katie, Emily, Rebecca, Peyton and Savannah Royster, Kristyn and Zack Royster, McKenzie and Carson Royster currently live in Alabama, Tennessee, California, Washington, D.C. and Colorado. A service of remembrance for Nancy will occur on Saturday, August 10th at 3 pm, at Humphreys County Funeral Home in Waverly, Tennessee. There will be a short period of visitation with friends and family one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by the Humphreys County Funeral Home (931) 296-5955
