Paula Kaye Cagle Chappell, age 69

Of: New Johnsonville, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her loving family, of cancer. Paula was a member of Trace Creek Baptist Church in New Johnsonville. Paula met her husband, Tommy, in elementary school and they have been together ever since. She graduated from Waverly Central High School Class of 1972. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a Cosmetologist for Ultra Hair in New Johnsonville until 2001 when her illness caused her to not be able to work. Paula loved cooking, sewing, and crocheting. Any gatherings she participated in, her chicken & dumplings and various cakes were always requested. She dearly loved her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Visitation:  will be Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and Friday, April 19, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until service time at Humphreys County Funeral Home.

Funeral Services: will be held Friday, April 19, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel of Humphreys County Funeral Home. Rev. Kenny Mullinax will be officiating the service.

Interment will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery in New Johnsonville, Tennessee.

   Thomas “Tommy” Chappell

   Shelby Cathey (Cody)

   Emma Tidwell

Sisters-in-law:

   Cathy Dixon, Debbie Forrester, Judy Chappell, Liz (Lee) Mitchell, and Sandra (Eddie) Baker

Special Son:  

   Michael (Lexie) Daniel

Several nieces, nephews, and friends

Preceded in death by:

Parents: James and Alice Cagle

Sister: Patsy Wills

And 1 child due to miscarriage
