Mr. Richard Dewayne Davis, age 75

Of: Waverly, TN passed away Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Signature Healthcare in Erin, TN. He was born October 4, 1948, in Miami, FL. Richard leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and laughter that will forever be cherished by those who knew him.

Richard's life was intertwined with both valor and sacrifice. As an Army veteran, he courageously served in Vietnam where he was exposed to Agent Orange, displaying unwavering bravery during times of conflict. Later stationed in Germany, Richard took on new challenges without hesitation, exemplifying loyalty, and dedication to his country.

Richard's career path was marked by diversity and dedication. He began his professional journey at Osh Kosh before transitioning into the plumbing industry, where he worked tirelessly as a licensed plumber for numerous years.

One of Richard's most beloved traits was undoubtedly his remarkable sense of humor. With an endless supply of jokes and witty anecdotes, he had the remarkable ability to brighten any room with laughter. Through his infectious joy, Richard transformed mundane moments into cherished memories for all those around him. His quick wit and playful banter will forever echo in the hearts of his loved ones.

Richard’s acts of kindness, his infectious laughter, and his unwavering commitment to others will forever be remembered.

Graveside Services for Mr. Davis will be conducted at 1:00pm Thursday, January 25, 2024, at the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery with Military Honors.

Interment will follow.
