Richard Joseph Scholes

Richard Joseph Scholes Mr. Scholes, age 69, passed away September 23, 2018 at his home in Humphreys County, TN. His wishes were to be cremated. Mr. Scholes was born September 3, 1949 in Detroit, MI. He was the son of the late Lillian Sue Scholes of Detroit, MI. He was the grandson of the late Ludi Pearl Madden of Humphreys County, TN, who raised him from a baby. Preceding him in death in addition to his mother and grandmother was his brother, Dale Michael Scholes of Melvindale, MI. Survivors include his uncle, Ralph Carter of Melvindale, MI and a large number of cousins in Tennessee and Michigan; and his little dog, Marley. Mr. Scholes worked for many years at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit as a Respiratory Therapist. Up until his death he still kept in touch with many of his co-workers and friends from Detroit. After he moved from Michigan to Tennessee, he finished his working career as a Guard at the prison in Only, TN before his retirement. Mr. Scholes’s cremains will be taken to Michigan to be buried in Mt. Hope Memorial Cemetery in Livonia, MI along side of his grandmother.
