Robert Walton "Bob" Balthrop

Age: 92, Of: Waverly, TN Died: Sunday, May 8, 2016 at Clarksville Nursing Home & Rehab Center. Mr. Balthrop was born April 25, 1924 in Springfield, TN. He attended school in Robertson County and later at U.T. Knoxville. Mr. Balthrop was one of the Founders of Humphreys County Funeral Home and received his Funeral Director License in 1992 after serving his apprenticeship. He also oversaw the construction of the Water, Sewer and Cable T.V. Facilities for the City of Waverly. Mr. Balthrop was a member of Waverly United Methodist Church and previous member of the Lions Club. He was also a 33rd Degree Scottish Rite Mason and Shriner for an excess of 50 years. Visitation: will be held from 4:00 – 8:00pm Tuesday, May 10th with a Masonic Service held at 7:00pm and from 10:00am until service time Wednesday, May 11th at the Humphreys County Funeral Home. Funeral Services: for Mr. Bob Balthrop will be conducted at 2:00pm Wednesday, May 11th in the Humphreys County Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Thad Collier officiating.
