Robert Dwayne Mitchell, age 75

Of, Shelbyville, TN passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro, TN. He was born on December 13, 1948, in Waverly, TN, to his parents, Robert Vernus and Hattie Alene Runions Mitchell. Master Sergeant Robert Dwayne Mitchell dedicated over 30 years of his life to serving our country in the Army and the Tennessee Army National Guard. He served during the Vietnam War and Operation Desert Storm. He was a part of the Field Artillery Association, Tennessee Army National Guard Enlisted Association, and the American Legion Association. In Robert’s free time, he loved to spend time on his motorcycle.

Visitation: will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until service time in the chapel of Humphreys County Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Humphreys County Funeral Home with Bro. Dan Reed officiating.

Interment: will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in New Johnsonville, TN.
