Mr. Rodney Jerome Shields, age: 65 Of: Waverly, TN Died: Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Three Rivers Hospital. He was born December 27, 1955 in Waverly, TN. Mr. Shields attended Tennessee Tech with a Full Music Scholarship playing the trumpet and graduated with a music degree. He later went to work for Central Sales as a Supervisor for 10+ years while continuing his career in brick laying and concrete pouring. Mr. Shields was a member of Salter’s Chapel AME Church. He loved going fishing and watching sports, especially the TN Titans. Above all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 11:00am until service time Friday, January 22nd at Humphreys County Funeral Home. Funeral Services for Mr. Shields will be conducted at 1:00pm Friday, January 22, 2021 in the Humphreys County Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Everett Hobson officiating.
