Mr. Roger Lee Dewitt, age 80

Of Waverly, TN passed away Saturday, July 20, 2024, at his daughter’s home in New Johnsonville, TN. He was born June 5, 1944, in Pennsylvania to Lawrence and Betty Dewitt. 

Roger dedicated 30+ years of his life to General Motors before retiring. His hard work and commitment left a lasting impact on those around him. Beyond his career, Roger found joy in various hobbies and interests. He was an avid tinkerer who loved working with his hands, whether it be through gardening, yard work, painting, repairs, or adding to his extensive collection of treasures. His passion for collecting reflected his curiosity about the world and his appreciation for the beauty in everyday objects.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00pm Wednesday, July 24th and from 11:00am until service time Thursday, July 25th at Humphreys County Funeral Home.

Funeral Services for Mr. Dewitt will be conducted at 3:00pm Thursday, July 25, 2024, in the Humphreys County Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. William Brown and Joe Stone officiating. 

Interment will follow in Smith-Damesworth Cemetery.
