Roger Dale Marrs      Age: 73

Of: Waverly, Tennessee passed away Sunday, July 16, 2023, at Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. Roger was born January 5, 1950, in Lobelville, Tennessee, to William David “Dub” and Martha Christene Howell Marrs. He was married to Peggy Jean Damesworth Marrs. He was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. Roger loved hunting, fishing, cooking on his Pit Boss smoker, and raising tomatoes and peppers. The thing he enjoyed most in life was being a proud father and being active and present in the lives of his grandchildren. He loved watching them play sports – hardly ever missed a game whether at home or away.

Visitation will be held from 4:00pm – 8:00pm Tuesday, July 18, 2023, and from 10:00am until service time Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at Humphreys County Funeral Home.

Funeral Services for Roger Marrs will be conducted at 2:00pm Wednesday, July 19, 2023, in the Humphreys County Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kenny Mullinax officiating.

Interment will follow in the Smith-Damesworth Cemetery in Waverly, Tennessee.
