Ruth Anne Peyton

Of: McEwen, Tennessee      Died: Monday, September 18, 2023, at NHC Healthcare Sumner in Gallatin, Tennessee. Mrs. Peyton was born January 19, 1930, in Mannington, West Virginia, to Harold Chester and Mary Elizabeth Snodgrass Toothman. She was married to Bobby B. Peyton. She was a retired School Teacher and Secretary for Rolling Hills Plant Nursery. Mrs. Peyton was a member of McEwen church of Christ. She loved music, the Dulcimer Club, being in her kitchen, and cooking. She lovingly raised four children. Ruth Anne and Bobby traveled and lived in Iran in the mid-1970’s. They retired and moved to McEwen in 1983.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Humphreys County Funeral Home.  

Funeral Services for Ruth Anne Peyton will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Humphreys County Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jim Suddeath officiating.

Interment will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery in McEwen, Tennessee.
