Known for her remarkable dedication to her profession, Shanta spent an astounding 38 years as a nurse. Her commitment to caring for others touched the lives of countless individuals in the community. She approached her work with a kind heart and a gentle touch, providing comfort and support to those in need during their most challenging times. Shanta's unwavering dedication made an indelible impact on the lives of her patients and their families.
In addition to her professional achievements, Shanta cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren. The joy they brought into her life was immeasurable. Whether it was playing games together, sharing stories, or simply enjoying each other's company, Shanta found true happiness in their presence. Her unconditional love and support will forever be treasured by her grandchildren.
A faithful member of the Water Street Church of Christ, Shanta found solace in her spiritual life. She was a pillar of strength within the congregation and actively contributed to various church activities. Her devotion to her faith provided her with guidance and comfort throughout her life's journey.
Shanta was also talented in various artistic pursuits. She enjoyed crochet and knitting, creating beautiful pieces that served as both practical items and heartfelt gifts for loved ones. Her attention to detail and creative spirit were evident in every stitch she made.
Reading was another passion that Shanta embraced wholeheartedly. Her love for literature allowed her to explore different worlds and expand her knowledge. Through books, she found inspiration, solace, and a source of intellectual growth.
Additionally, Shanta had a passion for photography that was evident in every snapshot she captured. She had a knack for finding beauty in the simplest of moments.
Shanta Hinson will be missed dearly by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind cherished memories that serve as a testament to a life well-lived—a life that was dedicated to caring for others with kindness and unconditional love.
Visitation: will begin on Friday, February 09, 2024 from 4 – 8 PM and will continue on Saturday, February 10, from 9:00 AM – until time of services.
Celebration of Life Service: will begin at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 10, 2024 from the Chapel of Spann Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hinson will be cremated according to her wishes.
