Passed away peacefully at her residence on February 9, 2024. She was born on September 12, 1942, in Columbus, Iowa. Sharon was a woman of extraordinary strength and kindness, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Family was at the center of Sharon's universe. As a devoted mother and grandmother, she showered her loved ones with unconditional love and support. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Sharon's nurturing nature created a loving and welcoming home that will forever be remembered as a place where hearts were warmed with laughter and love. Having had the maiden name Swank, Sharon brought a unique charm into every aspect of her life. With grace and elegance, she embraced every role she played as daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her presence would light up any room as she effortlessly spread joy wherever she went.
Sharon possessed a deep love for simple pleasures in life. She adored John Wayne and found great joy in watching his movies. Her eyes would sparkle with excitement whenever one of his Westerns came on television. In addition to being captivated by John Wayne's charisma on-screen, Sharon also enjoyed going to yard sales in search of hidden treasures that held sentimental value for both her and those around her. A lover of words and puzzles, Sharon could often be found working on crossword puzzles during quiet moments of reflection. Her sharp mind thrived in solving clues and piecing together words, providing a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction.
As we gather to bid farewell to Sharon, let us remember the vibrant spirit that will forever live on in our hearts. She brought warmth and joy into our lives, reminding us to appreciate life's simple pleasures and cherish our loved ones.
