Ms. Sheila Lorraine Ayres, age 69

Of Dickson, TN passed away Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. She was born February 9, 1955, in McEwen, TN. 

For 15 years, Sheila dedicated herself to serving others as a waitress for Shoney's. Her commitment to her work went beyond just taking orders and delivering meals; she had a special gift for making everyone who walked through the doors feel like family. Sheila's smile was contagious, and her caring nature left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

One of Sheila's proudest accomplishments was driving the church bus at Friendship Church. Her dedication to serving others and her commitment to her community were truly admirable. Countless individuals benefitted from her generosity and selflessness as she transported them to worship services each week.

Sheila was a woman of unwavering faith and compassion. One of her greatest joys in life was being a part of the Compassion Church, where she dedicated her time to baking countless pies for various gatherings and events. Her pies were not only delicious but also served as a symbol of her warm and giving nature.

Visitation will be held from 12:00pm until service time Monday, April 1^st at Humphreys County Funeral Home. 

Funeral Services for Ms. Ayres will be conducted at 2:00pm Monday, April 1, 2024, in the Humphreys County Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Janie Burkett officiating.

Interment will follow in Sanders Cemetery in McEwen.
