Stephanie Leighan Mallonee, born on January 6, 1969, and departed this world on March 29, 2025, was a radiant soul whose life touched the hearts of all who knew her. Stephanie was not just a devoted mother to her three beloved daughters; she embodied the spirit of love, laughter, and unwavering support. Her children were the center of her universe, and her pride in their accomplishments shone brightly.
She was an unwavering wife to her husband, David "Jodi", standing by his side with strength, grace, and endless devotion. Their partnership was one of mutual respect and deep affection, a true testament to the power of love.
Stephanie also shared an unbreakable bond with her sister, Megan — a connection forged in childhood and strengthened through every joy and challenge life brought their way. Their closeness was rooted in laughter, understanding, and a love that was truly unconditional.
Stephanie had a smile that could light up a room — warm, genuine, and unforgettable. It was the kind of smile that made people feel seen, heard, and deeply loved.
A true graduate of the Class of 1987, Stephanie's youthful spirit was evident in her love for sports. She was a remarkable athlete, having contributed to her team's resounding success as a member of the Dickson County High School Softball team, which proudly claimed the title of World Series Champions in 1984. This achievement was a testament to her dedication, passion, and teamwork, qualities that endured throughout her life.
Beyond the fields of sport, Stephanie had a profound affinity for water, finding joy in swimming. The simple pleasure of watching her grandchildren play football brought her immense joy, creating cherished memories that will resonate within the family for years to come.
Stephanie's commitment to education was evident in her impressive academic achievements. She earned her Master's Degree in Health Administration alongside a Bachelor's in Science, reflecting her dedication to learning and professional excellence. Her career in healthcare was marked by significant contributions; as the Director of Respiratory Therapy at Horizon Medical Center, she not only provided care but also played a pivotal role in founding the sleep study center at Horizon. Her impact on the lives of countless patients will be felt indefinitely, a true testament to her compassionate heart and professional integrity.
As a devout Christian, Stephanie's faith guided her through life, instilling in her the values of love, kindness, and service to others. She approached every day with an open heart and an unwavering belief in the goodness of the world around her.
Stephanie Leighan Mallonee lived a life rich with experiences, devotion, and love. While her physical journey has come to an end, her spirit and the memories she created with her family will forever illuminate their lives.
